| Cyborg 24 "x24" Oil on steel panel with wood, wire, Sculpey epoxy resin and magnets for the sculptures. 2000 |
Cyborg is an interactive painting/sculpture hybrid. Wires form circuits using magnets that attach to the steel panel. Each 'circuit' defines an architectural space in front of the panel. Add many, many more of these circuits and they form a lattice-city structure. Click here to learn more. |

| PRDS 48 "x48" Oil on steel panel with acrylic on paper and magnetic sheet for the cutouts. 2000 |

PRDS is a painting with moveable cutout pieces to make the figures in the landscape. Because each cutout can interlock with every other cutout, the pieces have an infinite number of permutations. There are, however, four solutions. One is to scatter the pieces all over the panel (Pieces). The second solution is to correctly arrange the pieces to form the nudes at Rest in the landscape. Thirdly, the pieces can be arranged incorrectly to create Deformed figures. The final solution is to arrange the correctly assembled nudes into my Self Portrait (shown here). No matter what the solution, the painting is always meant to portray an idyllic PaRaDiSe. Click here to go to the PRDS webpage. |
